Richard J. Schmidt, MD, FACOG, is a reproductive endocrinology and fertility specialist, as well as the medical director and laboratory program director at NOVA IVF in Mountain View, California. Dr. Schmidt began his medical career as an engineering and biochemistry undergraduate at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California, and earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency and subspecialty training in reproductive endocrinology and fertility at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, California, as well as at NOVA IVF.
For the board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist, it’s all about his philosophy of practicing medicine.
